The Calgary Woodlands community is an established community that is accessible via Anderson Road and Woodpark Blvd SW or Anderson Rd and 24th St SW. Along with Woodbine, the Woodlands community was established in 1980 where the communities saw extensive growth and development. Woodlands borders Anderson Road to the north, Fish creek provincial park to the south and canyon meadows to the east, with the expected to be built and developed ring road neighboring it on the west.
Woodlands offers a great location that is quiet, and outside of the bustling downtown areas, but is close enough to have a great commute either by car or the LRT with a few train stations just minutes away.
The Woodcreek community association (serving Woodlands and Woodbine) provides many great resources for community members. From organized sports for youths including soccer, lacrosse, football and fast pitch to a racquet club located right next to St. Jude school. They also have yoga, karate, seniors fitness, and Tai Chi.
For adults the community association puts on support groups, NYE parties, and has an ongoing Lions club. For more information about the community association, please visit: www.woodcreekcommunity.ca or visit them at 1991 Woodview Drive SW Calgary, AB T2W 5E5
