Freddie Mac is undertaking a new initiative designed to align with the servicing process for distressed homeowners, especially to a more client service focus. Freddie Mac’s Vice President of Single-Family Servicer Performance Management, yvette Gilmore, explains the initiative, Reimagining Servicing, at the company’s Executive Perspectives blog. Gilmore says that if a natural catastrophe strikes its clients are advised to”call your servicer” for assistance with payment arrangements. But, it does not always take a catastrophe for homeowners with paying their mortgage, to require help. Situations like loss of occupation an illness or of a loved one can toss them into financial issues as well. This is a really stressful time.
