Freddie Mac is undertaking a new initiative designed to align with the servicing procedure to a client service focus for homeowners. Yvette Gilmore, Freddie Mac’s Vice President of Single-Family Servicer Performance Management, explains the initiative, Reimagining Servicing, at the Organization’s Executive Perspectives blog. Gilmore says that when a natural disaster strikes its customers are told to”call your servicer” for assistance with payment arrangements. However, it doesn’t always take a disaster for homeowners with paying their mortgage, to need assistance. They can be thrown by everyday situations like an illness, loss of occupation or of a loved one to financial difficulties as well. This is a really stressful time.
