Unseeded Sage Hill defeated Pacific Coast League contender Beckman 13-5 at The Claremont Club to finish the season 19-0.

Sage Hill desired its doubles to border San Marcos 9-9 on matches in the next round along with Ventura 9-9 on games in the semifinals.

“It’s s something that we ’ll never forget,” Sage Hill first-year coach Whit Kenerson stated. “Who knows if and when Sage Hill will acquire another Section 1 title. ”

The Loyola Marymount-bound Torlic teamed with Chapman-bound Steven Ferry and Doctor Rohun Krishnan singles, 9-0. Torlic, the San Joaquin runner-up to Ferry, won his match to provide Sage Hill a lead, clinching the name.
