      The Loyola Marymount-bound Torlic teamed with Chapman-bound Steven Ferry and junior Rohun Krishnan at singles, 9-0. Torlic, the San Joaquin runner-up to Ferry, won his third game to provide Sage Hill a lead, clinching the title.

    For the very first time in almost any game, the tiny college in Newport Coast recorded a CIF-SS Division 1 title.

    As the school made its first appearance in a boys 17, beckman ’ s doubles completed. The No. 1 team of seniors Lucas Le and Bryce Chieu-Chin swept 6-3, 6-2, 6-1.

    Unseeded Sage Hill defeated Pacific Coast League contender Beckman 13-5 at The Claremont Club to finish the year 19-0.
