The no cost Magnuson Park cycles assembles on the present Outdoors for All Adaptive Cycle Center program, previously open only Thursdays through Sundays using rentals beginning at $15 an hour. New drop-in hours–running May through September–will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Fittings are included, though Outdoors for All urges calling beforehand to check availability.
Like Bicycle Sundays in Seward Park this past calendar year, Outdoors for everybody is cooperating with the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) to get free bicycle rentals this year–but the program’s expanding.
There will be Chances at Magnuson Park, at Seward Park, and in White Center
Opportunities in Seward Park and White Center are somewhat more limited, however there. A trailer full of bicycles will roll up to get a few, but not all June 16 and 23, July 7 and 14, August 11 and 18, and September 8 and 15. White Center Bicycle Playground is going to have adaptive bikes that are free on June 21, two days and September 21.
The basic idea is currently making cycling more accessible, although cycles can take a great deal of forms. This can contain things like handcycles, tricycles (along with quadracycles! ) ) , anything, or tandem bikes that covers a set of bicycle needs.
