Although no details have been declared, prosecutors from the Eastern District of Virginia have disclosed the existence of a criminal complaint against Assange.

LONDON — British police arrested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London on Thursday, after the South American state chose to reverse the asylum which had given him sanctuary for seven years.

Assange hadn’t come from this embassy for seven years since he feared arrest and extradition to the United States through WikiLeaks for releasing a large number of classified military and diplomatic wires. Although Sweden has dropped the sexual assault case that first resulted in Assange’s arrest in Britain, U.K. authorities said he would be rearrested if he ever left the embassy because he skipped bond in the original case.

WikiLeaks immediately attracted attention to U.S. curiosity about Assange.
Video a news service of Russia Today, revealed men carrying Assange from the embassy building and loading him while police officers formed a passageway. Assange sported a beard and slicked-back grey hair.

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt thanked Moreno for breaking the impasse, saying on Twitter that Assange”isn’t a hero and nobody is above the law.”

Ecuador’s president, Lenin Moreno, stated his administration left a”sovereign decision” to reverse Assange’s political asylum because of”repeated violations to international conventions and daily-life.”

His arrest came a day after WikiLeaks detained that the Ecuador’s government of an”extensive spying operation” against Assange.
“Today I announce that that the discourteous and competitive behavior of Mr. Julian Assange, the threatening and hostile declarations of its own allied business, against Ecuador, and especially the transgression of international treaties, have led the situation to some point where the asylum of Mr. Assange is unsustainable and no more workable,” Moreno said in a movie released on Twitter.
London police said Ecuador’s ambassador encouraged into the embassy them. After he was released on bond while facing extradition to Sweden on sexual assault allegations that have been dropped, assange took refuge in the embassy in 2012.
